Ian L’Heureux grew up in Sanford, Maine in York County and left Maine briefly to attend Norwich University, the Military College of Vermont, where he spent four years as a member of the Corps of Cadets and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2014. Ian returned to Maine and worked for a year as a juvenile program worker at Long Creek Youth Development Center. He then attended the University of Maine School of Law where he graduated in 2018. While in law school, Ian gained first-hand knowledge and experience of the criminal justice system while he interned for the Kennebec County District Attorney’s Office and as a student attorney at the Cumberland County Legal Aid Clinic. He comes to us after spending the first few years of his legal career as an associate attorney at a small boutique firm in Bath, Maine where he represented clients primarily on the Midcoast.
